MENS BOWLS NEWS 04/05/2026
Congratulations to South Bowlo’s Men’s Pennant Sides over the weekend with strong performances across the board with Division 3 and Division 4 sides progressing through to the North West Regional playoffs, alongside our Division 2 Side who secured the Regional Pennant Championship.
South Tamworth’s Division 2 side claimed the North West Regional Pennant with a strong and consistent series.
They made a statement in Round 2 with a solid 63–47 win over Club Gunnedah’s Division 1 team, then followed up in Round 3 with an impressive 83–25 victory against the strong and fancied Inverell RSM Team to win their section and qualify for the Regional Final.
In a thrilling final against Kootingal, they showed great composure. Trailing by nine shots with 12 ends to play, they worked their way back into the match and finished strongly with a 59–52 victory to claim the Pennant.
With this well-earned result, the side will now head to Soldiers Point in August to compete at the NSW State Finals.
South Tamworth’s Division 3 men’s side also put together an excellent campaign. They recorded a big 106–48 win over Uralla in Round 2, then backed it up in Round 3 with an 89–44 victory against Kootingal to top their section and qualify for the North West Regional playoffs. Congratulations to our boys on a strong performance.
South Bowlo’s Division 4 side also had a successful run. They defeated North Tamworth 88–52 in Round 2 and followed up with an 81–43 win over Kootingal in Round 3 to secure their place in the North West Regional playoffs. Congratulations and well-done boys.
