MENS BOWLS NEWS 13/04/2026

All the very best to our South Tamworth Junior Super Stars Charli Cameron, Ella Cameron and Coen Schroeder together with our North West Region Juniors from various Clubs as they contest the NSW State Junior Championships which commence Monday April 13 at Cabra Bowls, Play well Team!

It seems to be a cliché at South Tamworth but on Sunday we had yet another cracking final played. The Final of the Mixed Fours was a pearler when Charli Cameron, Craig Cameron, Jeff Holloway and Ella Cameron took on the experienced side of Carol White, Jeff Myers, Chris Myers and Ken Trow. Ella’s side got away to a great start leading 7-1 on 5 ends before Trow’s team picked up a 4 but Ella bounced back with a 5 on the next end to take the lead back. From there the lead changed hands on numerous occasions till the 20th end with the score at 25-24 to Ella’s side when they scored a 1 on the last to win by 26-24. An awesome game by both finalists.

The 3rd Annual Mars Vs Venus Battle was held on Sunday where 26 teams of men and women fiercely competed for the converted trophy. A great day was had by all with the 2026 title engraving going to the Men this year.
