South Tamworth Bowlo is pleased to host a Bowling Arm and Pennant Coaching Weekend with Clay Parker on Friday 17 & Saturday 18 April 2026.
Sessions include:
• Friday 5–7pm – Bowling Arm Coaching (max 20)
• Saturday 9–11am – Leads & Seconds (max 40)
• Saturday 1–3pm – Thirds & Skips (max 40)
This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your role, sharpen match play, and build confidence ahead of pennants.

MENS BOWLS NEWS 09/03/2026
There is a list for availability of Men’s Pennants on our noticeboard. The Men’s Pennants commences on May 2nd & 3rd.
Don’t forget our Mars Vs Venus Battle is coming up again on the 12th of April. This is always a fun day, so place your name on the list which is on our noticeboard.
A round up of Round 4 Open Pennant results. Our Grade 3 Side played Kootingal on their home green. Our side losing by a narrow margin of 3 shots on the master board with a 9-1 result to Kooty.
South Grade 4 Gold and Grade 4 Green had another inhouse derby on Saturday with Gold taking 9 valuable points from the match with their 64-49 victory which took them to the top of the ladder half a point clear of the favourite side Gunnedah who they will face in the second last round this Saturday.
South’s Grade 6 side has continued their fine form in Section 3 following the fourth win on the trot with the 76-49 victory over Werris Creek on Saturday. This result consolidating their firm position at the top of the ladder on 37 points which is 17 points clear of Tamworth City in second position with 2 rounds remaining.
South’s Grade 7 Red side played at home this week against ladder leaders Kootingal this week in round 4 on our home track and with a convincing 71-43 win and 9 valuable points at the pointy end of sectional play in the 3-team section firming up their 7 point ladder lead with a bye round and section round left to play for the Red Side.
Grade 7 Blue played at home against Murrurundi with South taking a narrow win and a narrow loss on two rinks however the third rink result secured the master board for Murrurundi with a 70-56 result dropping Blue a couple of places on the ladder. However, with two rounds to play in this competitive section, the Blue side are still in the hunt.
South Tamworth is running a weekly best performed rink for Open Pennants played at home games with a $20 voucher to go to the four players. This week it was Grade 7 Blue with Ingrid Harriott, Sue Ninness, Gordon Cheney and Ricky Lasaitiswith a 23-22 shot win over Murrurundi. This coming Saturday in round 5 the best performed rink in Grade 4 Green will be the winner.

On Saturday evenings from 6:30pm we are holding our Saturday’s Atomic Shoot Out Challenge. For a $2.00 Entry and bowling with Glow in the Dark Bowls from corner to corner of the green to a one metre diameter target you have a chance to win the current Jackpot which stands at over $2,220 and growing each week.
