South Tamworth Bowlo is pleased to host a Bowling Arm and Pennant Coaching Weekend with Clay Parker on Friday 17 & Saturday 18 April 2026.

Sessions include:
• Friday 5–7pm – Bowling Arm Coaching (max 20)
• Saturday 9–11am – Leads & Seconds (max 40)
• Saturday 1–3pm – Thirds & Skips (max 40)

This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your role, sharpen match play, and build confidence ahead of pennants.

MENS BOWLS NEWS 23/02/2026

A round up of Round 2 Open Pennant results. Our Grade 3 Side travelled out to Lightning Ridge where the home green advantage was evident for our team and we were defeated on all rinks giving the Ridge 10 points and a 75-37 convincing victory on the master board.

South Grade 4 Gold managed to take 1.5 rinks from Club Gunnedah at home however a strong performance from Jacob Martin’s side gave Gunnedah the master board points giving them an 8.5 to 1.5 result and 73-59 on the master board.

Grade 4 Green travelled out to Wee Waa and also managed to win 1.5 rinks points but a great performance from Ty Baker’s team saw Wee Waa take the victory on the master board 63-50 and 8.5 to 1.5 points.

South’s Grade 6 played West Tamworth and took 3 convincing rink wins to take a 10-0 victory 86 to 41 on Wests home turf.

Grade 7 Blue played Quirindi at home winning on the master board 77 shots to 51 shots with two rink wins giving us a 9-1 victory.

South Tamworth is running a weekly best performed rink for Open Pennants played at home games with a $20 voucher to go to the four players. This week it was Grade 4 Gold with Linda O’Reilly, Des Cross, Tony Daley and Chrissy Myers with their 22-17 rink win against Club Gunnedah. This coming Saturday round 3 the best performed rink in the Grade 7 Red will be the winner.

The Open Pennant Selected teams are on the Team App and on the Men’s Noticeboard.

South Grade 3 play Moree at Moree. Cars to travel out to Moree on Saturday morning and returning after the game. Skips to arrange transportation.

South Grade 4 Gold play Wee Waa at South with a 12:45PM game commencement.

South Grade 4 Green play Club Gunnedah at South at 12:45PM.

South Grade 6 play Tamworth City at Tamworth City with a 12:45PM start time.

South Grade 7 Red play at home against Barraba at 12:45PM

South Grade 7 Blue play North Tamworth at North with a 12:45PM commencement time.

On Saturday evenings from 6:30pm we are holding our Saturday’s Atomic Shoot Out Challenge. For a $2.00 Entry and bowling with Glow in the Dark Bowls from corner to corner of the green to a one metre diameter target you have a chance to win the current Jackpot which stands at over $2,014 and growing each week.
