Congratulations to Aaron Kelly and the KENO NSW Blues Para Side at the Australian Para Nationals, which was held at Burnie Bowls Club in Tasmania. Aaron Skipped the Pairs side to an undefeated run through to the Final which was against QLD where the Kelly/Vassallo pairing battled their way back from a deficit behind QLD to force an extra end at 15 all on last end where QLD took the Gold and a solid performance delivering a Silver Medal for Aaron and teammate Mick Vassallo.
Aaron was also a Silver Medallist in the Triples with Mick Vassallo and Legend Jimmie Reynolds. Jimmy scooped up the Gold Medal in the Singles with a stellar performance against Damien Dalgato. These Performances earned the NSW Men’s Blues Para Side the second overall position in the Series.
All the best to our lady Bowlers Carol White and Chris Myers when they represent the KENO NSW Blues Senior Women’s Side at the Australian Senior Sides Championships commencing in Devonport from November 15-18
We are commencing our Annual Sunday Open Hams from the 23rd of November and then every Sunday following until December 21.
We are kicking the first Sunday morning off with a BBQ Brekie from 8:30AM with $5.00 Bacon and Egg Rolls. The morning will also be an opportunity to have a chat to our Committee Members of the South Bowlo Travelling Bowlers regarding their newly formed group and the plans they have in place for the Travelling Bowlers for Bowling Club visits next year…. Some Fun Times and Road Trips ahead for 2026! If you are interested, registrations are available on the day.
There is an expression of interest list on the noticeboard for Selectors or approach the Match Committee for nomination.
On Saturday evenings from 6:30pm we are holding our Saturday’s Atomic Shoot Out Challenge. For a $2.00 Entry and bowling with Glow in the Dark Bowls from corner to corner of the green to a one metre diameter target you have a chance to win the current Jackpot which stands at $1530.00 and growing each week.

Ladies Bowls News 9th November 2025
Saturday 8th November the Final of the Minor Singles was played between Sandra Mitchell and Tracey Morris, it was a very even scoring game until Sandra got to 17 then she lifted her game to go through winning the next six ends to win 27 to 17. Congratulations Sandra on your first Title and well done Tracey a very worthy Runner up.
Saturday also saw two Club Selected Pairs games played. Phyllis Key and Ingrid Harriot won a tight game against Avon Nott and Sue Ninness 17 to 15.
Di Halcroft and Sue Musgrave had a slow start against Annie Herden and Cath Verdich but inched their way back and won in a cliff hanger of a last end 19 to 17.
On Sunday two more Club Selected Pairs were played. Brianna Collins our youngest player and Chris Myers one of our Veteran players won over Kath Daley and Ros Sweeney 16 to 11.
The other game between Marlene Brosie and Pos Tuckey against Cindy Harding and Tracey Morris was a very close game. Cindy one of our newer players had the shot on the jack on the last ends to give them a win 16 to 15.
The Semi Finals and Final of the Club Selected pairs will not be played until next year due to State and Regional Events.
Chris Myers and Carol White leave this week to travel to Tasmania to represent NSW against all the other States and Territories. Good Luck to you both ,safe travels and we look forward to hearing about all your games when you return.
A Christmas Party Flyer has been put on the notice board for ladies to put your names down if you can attend and any dietary requirements, Money to be paid to Sandra Mitchell before the 7th December.

Tomorrow our very special Life Member FAY will be celebrating her 97th Birthday, A beautiful friend to us all, loves watching us play bowls and wishes she could still play herself. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAYSIE
