BOWLS NEWS 10/08/2026

What an outstanding week of bowls it has been for South Tamworth Bowling Club, with our players enjoying success at the State Pennant Finals and our juniors proudly representing New South Wales winning the State Junior Tri-Series at Cabramatta.

Ella topped the player ladder unbeaten with five wins and a draw, while Charli capped an outstanding NSW debut by finishing sixth on the player ladder with five wins from six matches.

A fitting finish to Ella’s final Under-18 Tri-Series before she ages out of junior competition. Congratulations, girls!

The highlight of the State Pennant Finals was our Women’s Division 3 side bringing home the State Pennant. Congratulations to the entire side on a tremendous campaign and a fantastic achievement for South Tamworth. It was especially pleasing to see our two young stars, Charli and Ella Cameron, as part of the State Pennant-winning team, adding another major achievement to what has already been an outstanding year for both girls.

Our Men’s Division 2 and Division 3 sides, along with our Women’s Division 1 side, also represented South Tamworth with pride throughout their State Finals campaigns. To have four sides qualify for the State Finals was a tremendous achievement in itself and the performances across the week again showed the depth, commitment and team spirit we have within our bowling club.

Fresh from the State Pennant campaign, Charli and Ella then backed up in the NSW Junior Blues at the Junior Tri-Series against Victoria and Queensland at Cabramatta. Charli made her Junior Blues debut alongside the more experienced Ella, with both girls producing another strong representative performance and gaining valuable experience competing against some of the best junior bowlers in the country.

For Charli and Ella to be part of a State Pennant-winning side and then pull on the NSW colours in the same week is a wonderful achievement. Congratulations to both girls and to all of our South Tamworth players who represented the club during a very successful week of bowls.
